cleanercities.co.uk first appeared on the web on 29th September 2004, as a response to the increasing amount of cigarette and chewing gum litter in our towns and cities.

We are not part of the anti-smoking movement, believing people should be free to make their own personal choices - regardless of whether we agree with them or not.

However, we were concerned that the smoking ban would lead to an increase in street litter - (which it now has - it's never been worse! Dec 2010)

Originally, the advice service was funded from the sale of our unique mini bin keyrings through our web shop. However as of Jan 2011, we have closed our web shop, to concentrate on  environmental consultancy.
